How this site collects, uses and retains information from visitors and callers.
We trade as Flood Cleanup Kent, a flood damage restoration and water mitigation contractor working in Kent, Washington and the nearby cities of Des Moines, SeaTac, Auburn, Renton, Federal Way, Burien and Puyallup. This policy explains what happens to information about the people who read this website or call the number on it. It does not cover other companies' websites we link to, where their own policies apply.
There is very little to collect, because there is nothing on this site to fill in. We run no contact form, no booking form and no account sign-up. Calling is the only way to reach us.
When you call, our phone provider records what a phone call carries: the number you are calling from, the date and time, how long the call lasted and whether anyone picked up. Whoever answers writes down what you tell them: your name, the property address, a number to call you back on and what has gone wrong at the building. Calls may be recorded so we can check the job details were taken down correctly. You are told at the start when a call is being recorded, and you can ask us to stop recording and carry on with the call.
When you read the site, our analytics collects the ordinary technical detail of a visit: the pages you opened, the city or region your device appears to be in, the device and browser, the site or search you came from and how long you stayed. None of that tells us your name.
If we come out to a property, we also hold the job record: the address, the photographs and moisture readings taken room by room, and the scope and price we put in writing.
Call details let us answer the phone, send a crew to the right address, call you back when a line drops and keep a record of what was agreed. The job record lets us invoice the work, hand you the moisture log at the end and answer questions months later about what came out and when.
Analytics tells us which pages people read and which ones leave them stuck, so we can fix the site. We do not build a profile of you from it, we do not sell any of it, and we do not pass it to anyone who wants to sell you something.
Vercel hosts the website and keeps the server logs a web host keeps. Google provides the analytics and the Search Console reporting, and Microsoft provides the Bing reporting. Once a dedicated call-tracking line is in place, the provider of that line will carry the call records described above, and we will name it here when it is appointed.
Beyond that, we share information when the work requires it, usually by sending your own documentation to your insurer at your request. We also release information where the law or a court requires it.
We keep call and job records for as long as the work could still be queried, which in practice means the period in which a claim about it could still be brought, and then we delete them. Analytics data sits with Google on the retention period set in the account. Recordings of calls that never became jobs are kept for a short review period and then deleted.
Washington gives residents no general consumer data-access right, and this business sits outside the European and Californian regimes, so the rights below are ones we grant to anyone who asks. Call us and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct anything wrong in it, send you a copy, or delete it where no tax, insurance or legal obligation requires us to keep it. We charge nothing for this. We collect no health information, so Washington's My Health My Data Act does not apply to what we hold.
This site exists for adults arranging work on a building. We do not aim it at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect anything about them. If you think a child has given us information, call us and we will remove it.
When the way we handle information changes, we rewrite this policy and change the effective date at the top. The version published here is always the one in force.
Call (253) 368-0431 with any question about this policy or about information we hold. The line is staffed around the clock, holidays included. A written privacy address will be published here once the business has one.
